At the turn of the millennium, our founder, Rex Robinson, had an epiphany. He asked himself, why are people still regarding this machine we call a personal computer as something mystical and unapproachable? Why do Joe and Jane Average believe that they don't have the ability or skills to use their own computer, make the changes to it that they need and/or want, or even perform regular maintenance on it, though the tools they need are simple and at their fingertips?

     The answers to his questions were simple enough to see, though unpopular to the rest of his industry. The computer maintenance industry, itself, strove to keep their work shrouded in mystery by deliberately using terminology and "white papers" concepts as a "secret code", rather than the down-to-earth words and ideas that are more readily understandable.

     At Rulane Teks, we understand that "kernals" are for popping during a movie, "drivers" are found sitting behind steering wheels, and when you talk to technical support, you shouldn't feel like "RAM"ming your head against the wall in frustration. We train our technicians to explain concepts and problems in common, everyday language. Then, if our clients want, we will answer their questions and teach them how to do the same work on their own computers, thus demystifying the computer and allowing the client to save their time, money, and sanity for something more important.
